Earth Day Alpena Michigan
EARTH DAY ON THURSDAY: IDEAS + FREE PINE TREES!
I think it would be great if we put up flyers encouraging people to recycle all week in honor of Earth Day, as well as plant trees. I can print out a ton of flyers, and post them in my neighborhood, and Kevin and Krystal can, if they have the time, post a few flyers in other areas of the town if they happen to be there, i.e. @ Music and More, etc.
The flyers could just list all the places in Alpena that accept recyclables on the flyer, as well as what they do and don't accept.
Flyers could also suggest that recycling can involve donating furniture to Habitat for Humanity Restore, and clothing, furniture, books, etc. to The Salvation Army and St. Vincent De Paul's.
I can also get a crapload of free baby pine trees from my dad, but I have no idea where in Alpena to plant them.
Does anyone know where the trees could be planted?
